Bathtime Is Funtime

Malone has started to really enjoy her baths at night. She has always been pretty laid back and chilled out in the tub. In the last couple of weeks, she has been anticipating her bath as I carry her towards the bathroom, and she kicks and squeals in the water. She has some bathtub friends that she likes to play with and watch float around. We also switched to the big yellow duck to wash her in too. This big yellow duck has fond memories for me and Jacob. This was the duck from Malone's baby shower that was the cooler for the water and adult beverages :) It has many uses!

Malone Sits Up!

Finally the day has come....Malone can sit up all by herself! It is so weird to see my little baby able to balance and look like such a big girl. It truly is so amazing how last Saturday she couldn't balance for more than a split second, and by Monday morning she was sitting all alone with no support. She is growing up so fast and right before our eyes.

Malone's lip

Ok...I thought that this "lip thing" was just a phase and that maybe she was teething and her gums were itching, but it NEVER stops! Malone is constantly sucking in her top lip. Almost every single picture that I take of her, she is making this face! It is pretty cute and funny, but what if she is 18 and still doing it?

First Veggies

So I decided to try out baby food tonight...she absolutely LOVED it! Malone has been eating rice cereal with juice for over a month now, but tonight she got sweet potatoes! She downed the entire jar! The picture is not so great because she was squirming around so much.

fun times with the cousins

This was so funny...Mary Elizabeth and Maddy came to Dublin with Mew Maw and Paw Paw to do some business with Jacob and eat. We walked over to Scoops and this scary clown creature terrified Malone!

The Cute Lip Thing

Here it is...........so funny!

Just a little updating...

Cute Little things that Malone has been doing lately...

She started grabbing her hair and pulling it in the back (lets hope she doesn't have the same problem that Jacob and Sarah have with hair twisting!) This has also been bad for my love of big hair bows!

Whenever you hold Malone, she stiffens her arms straight back as if she is going to take off and fly away. She seems so content. It is hilarious!

In the last three days, Malone has started sucking in her top lip and sticking out her bottom lip...I am sure that it has something to do with teething, but it is also just really cute.

If you get her near your face and make kissing sounds, Malone grabs for your head and gives a really good slobber to your cheek as she moves her head back and forth.

Now that she gets extremely distracted by anyone talking, we have to give her a bottle away from any conversations. If you make eye contact and smile, she will give you the biggest smile and spit out ALL milk in her mouth!

Since all of her rolling has begun, she has rolled over 2 times in her crib...and she even slept on her belly after rolling over! Now if I can just teach her to roll back over, we would have a mobile baby.

Hanging With The Cousins

In this picture...Ethan Anderson and Malone, he is cousin John and April's baby. Ethan is about 5 months older than Malone, and he is about 500 times bigger! He is so cute. April and Ethan babysat Malone for the 3 weeks I went back to work. It is so much fun that Malone is able to grow up near all of her cousins. There are 13 grandchildren now all under the age of 6....I think? It is a little difficult to keep up with all of the multiplying cousins. AND there are two more on the way as we speak!

A Look Back

At Malone's 4 Month appointment, she weighed 12lbs 14oz. She was 24 inches long. She is in the 20th percentile for weight, and she is in the 50th percentile for height. Malone is really catching up...I can't wait to see how much she has grown in a couple of weeks at her 6th month appointment! Dr. Kallay said that she was the HEALTHIEST baby that he had EVER seen! Yes, this was his exact quote. I know that he was exaggerating a bit, but we had a rough start and he knew that we needed the encouragement.

Here we go...

Malone started rolling over from front to back at about three and a half months. But last week at five months, she is rolling all over the place from back to front. Now we are in trouble...she got away from me when I was changing her diaper. Thank goodness I had already cleaned up the boosie!

I'm A BIG Girl NOW!

It is truly amazing how far Malone has come...she is literally changing every single day.

Rice Cereal And A Big Girl Highchair

We started Malone on rice cereal at about 4 months...she loves it only if you mix it with pear juice or apple juice. She makes a big mess and kicks around and squeals every time she eats! I think we will be moving up to veggies soon.

Like Father...Like Daughter

They are both enthralled with whatever is on the TV...both of them have a problem...not to mention that they look JUST alike.

Getting Ready For Some POOL Fun And POOLE Fun

We had a big time at the pool party at Aunt DJ's and Uncle Jame's house....Malone slept outside in a swing while all of the kids played in the kiddy pools together, and she never actually got into a pool. Maybe next time. She looked really cute though.

Stupid Wal Mart Toys

I never would have imagined that those stupid little toys that you buy from Wal Mart that jingle and make noise would make Malone so happy. She loves them and MUST have them attached to her car seat at ALL times!

Sofie The Giraffe

Cousin Mary Peyton loves her Sofie the Giraffe, so of course I had to buy Malone one too. She now loves her Sofie just as much!

APPLES

Malone loves to taste everything....she wasn't so sure about this apple though.

KISSES

Kisses from Mama are the BEST! I get all of her sugar all day long!

Malone's a BIG helper!

She is going to take after her Mew Maw and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to do laundry!

Malone's first moments of life with her Mama and Papa.

Malone was swooped away by the stork squad after they worked on her for around 30 min. It was so scary and terrifying for us. She was intibated for several hours until the doctors were happy with her oxygen levels. They moved her to the Level 2 Nursery on day 2, and she was doing really well until her heart rate started dropping. We don't know why, but she would drop her heart rate lower than the doctors liked. After lots of tests and 10 sleepless nights away from her, we finally were able to bring her home. We were so excited. She had a heart monitor for 2 months before the Doctor took her off of it! We had some extremely scary times at home with our new baby girl....Rosey even spent the first night with us because I was so scared she would stop breathing! We survived, and Malone is a happy healthy little girl with lots of energy and love to give!

Malone's Surprise Arrival!

Unpacking from the baby shower...good thing I like to have things done immediately!

January 31st we had an awesome baby shower in Perry....we came home and unpacked the nursery. We were so excited about our last month of pregnancy. We never would have thought that my water was going to break at 10:30 pm and Malone would arrive at 4:36 am!

How Our Little Party Began

The Poole Party officially started June 28th, 2008 on our wedding day. In the last two years, we have had many exciting and fun beginnings! We found out it was going to be a party of 3 on June 23rd, 2009. Our sweet baby girl Malone came to us a month early on February 1st, 2010. It was a rocky beginning for Malone, but after ten stressful days in the hospital we brought her home and our new journey began! Here is Malone's story...
